Excursion: The Angkor Complex ~~~ The Bayon Temple

The Bayon Temple
another famous temple
that is famous for

SMILE

Yup~ Smile~

Smiley Faces of King Jayavarman V11/ Bodhisattva*
(* still under debate)

The first thing that ran into my head when i'm here
is the word

'MAGNIFICENT!!!'

Gyee at the BAYON~~~ Finally!!!

The man in blue uniform checked my ticket here.
Gotta kept ya ticket safely up to this point
as there'll be fine if ya lost ya ticket!

Was damn tired too when i reached this point!
Jest kissing the Smiley Stone face~
I went to the interior of the temple first before checking out the exterior
because i was anxious to see the giant stone faces close-up

A little climbing up the very steep staircases
and i'm at the interior of Bayon!

Tada!!

Gotta be careful not to flip over and fell.
TIP: The best time for photo at this place was in the morning before 10am

I was here at the noon time. *Sob~

'Hey! Ancient stone face! Aren't you going to speak to me?'

While staring at that face, i actually thought of
The Tiki carving in the movie
'Night at the museum'
where it opened its mouth and talk

'Dumb Dumb, you better Run Run
or they're coming for a Hunt Hunt'

After we're done with the interior, we went to check out the exterior of the temple.
One word to describe it

RUINS

But do remember to check out one more thing

The bas relief!!!!

Bas relief at the Bayon

A tour guide was explaining the story its implies to a group of tourists,
so i kind of became part of the group for few minutes.
Ngek~~Ngek~~Ngek~~~
It's mostly on story of the everyday life of the peoples back in the 12th century.

Anyway, restoration is on progress for this temple by the Japanese.

Maybe, it will look nicer in the future when the restoration project was done.
Hmmp...i do wonder how old i'll be by the time they finish this

Goodbye!!!*

*You gotta repeat this 216 times because there are 216 heads!!!

After a month with my experiment~~~

Is 11am in the morning and i'm sitting here blogging.
I wish someday somehow someone will invent a teleporter
so that i can teleport myself to wherever i wanna be now.

After 3 days of holidays, the first sight i walked into the culture room
is to see my groundnuts growing completely out of the culture vial
with its leaves and stem totally exposed to the environment

I was like

'CAN'T YOU STUPID GROUDNUTS JUST STOP GROWING SO FAST!!!'

Obviously they need a bigger space for growth
so i went picking them out one by one
and transferred them to the glass jar

I thought this would have solve the matter

Soon after, i realized i was so wrong
because
........................

THE GLASS JAR IS TOO SMALL

ZzzZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzZZZZzzzzzz

It fix most but not all

~THE END~
.................................................................................................

Pray to god now that it won't be contaminated any further
because i still needs the damn leaves and stem to
complete my experiment!!!!

Monitoring you guys are driving me NUTS~~~!

P/S~ This is just 5 out of 190..... Now you get it~~

Finally is over.....

We started planning for this concert last year while i'm still in Sabah having my industrial training

and

a year after that

is finally over

I do hope that this event would carve a fond memory for all
especially to those who will be graduating soon.

On the night, i received tons of positive comment from the audiences
which really make up to all the hardships we went through during the process

Lack of instrument
 Lack of member commitment
Lack of financial support
Lack of performer
Lack of helper
Lack of transportation
Lack of support from the uni itself
this and that

but in the end
we still managed to cope with everything
and got a fruitful result

We're on the news the next day
One whole page to highlight our event

which really is something memorable in my uni life

Now

Lotsa photos to eat ya bandwidth~~
HOHOHO

To Pei Sing,

__________________________________________________________________________________

To Ryan Choon,

__________________________________________________________________________________

To Chin Tsin,

__________________________________________________________________________________

To Alex 和 Weekee,

__________________________________________________________________________________

To Ah Bin, Kai Xuan, Min Li and Li Shan,

Kai Xuan
Li Shan

To Dexter and Yo Seng,

Dexter

Yo Seng

2012 sooner~

I just realized that today is the 6th days of November, 2011
and there're still so many posts laying inside my draft box

UNPUBLISH~~!!!

I've been really busy this whole year through
and whenever i thought that i'm finally done with this...
or this...
or that...
there's always new stuff that 'POP' up
and blew me through another few more months
of endless
BUSY BUSY BUSY weekend

Well, it look like those posts are going sit through another few more months
before i'm really free to post them up

Right now, i gotta compile all the slides from my fellow assignment group mates
and get them ready to be present on Tuesday

T_______T

I hate presentation. It makes me nervous~~

November 2011

The concert is finally over.
Is time i wave my goodbye to the orchestra
and place my dedication on somewhere else.

Now that my groudnuts are growing at a rate faster
than i can possibly handle
Is really panicking.
I'll have to rush
but time is so limited in the lab
A whole day in the lab is not enough.
Thank to the brilliant autoclaving session
which really caused me much trouble

Anyhow, i've been roaming around old town kampar today morning
with my fellow assignment group mates

The title of our assignment
'Historical building in Kampar'
Is due next Monday~
Can't blame us for doing last minute work
at least we did put in the effort
to interview all those veteran

Well, tomorrow i'll be heading to Cheras
for my forensic trip~
Will take lotsa photos to show you guys!
If they allow photo~~

#1 This is a Hakka dunno what association building.
The association itself had been around since 1922 but they lost track of their own
history dates back to 1978 due to burning of the building by the Japanese during World War 2.

#2 These traditional chinese chairs are all over a hundred years old.
They said that the Japanese used to borrow them and later return to the association.
Camera man of the day~

Signing off for tomorrow trip to forensic center in Cheras.
